I’m always looking for high-protein snacks to keep me going during the day, and especially after a good workout. This all-time favorite paleo snack is slightly addictive and totally satisfying.
Nuts are Full of Healthy Fat
I like to eat nuts because they’re full of good fat, fill me up with their healthy fiber, and don’t leave me hungry. In fact, I keep a little tin of roasted almonds in my car at all times, just in case my blood sugar dips when I’m out with the boys or running errands.
Easy Paleo Spiced Nuts Recipe
This low-carb snack recipe is made with 8 ingredients total. While it’s super easy to throw together, the end result is impressive. We love serving it at our Super Bowl party, but it’s also a great appetizer and goes very well with cocktails during the holidays.
- ⅔cup almonds
- ⅔cup pecans
- ⅔cup walnuts
- 1teaspoon chili powder
- ½teaspoon cumin
- ½teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½teaspoon celtic sea salt
- 1tablespoon olive oil

Place nuts in a large cast iron skillet over medium heat

Toast until lightly browned

While nuts are toasting, prepare spice mixture

Combine chili, cumin, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl

Coat nuts with olive oil, then coat with spice mixture

Serve
